If you wish to receive a letter and do not have an active membership, you can click below to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ama.org\/ama-member-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Join AMA<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-secondary\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#h-request-form\">ReQUEST LETTER<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-criteria-for-approval\"><strong>Criteria for Approval<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-accordion accordion \">\n\t\n\n<button class=\"accordion-header\">USCIS General Requirements<\/button>\n\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To qualify for an O-1 visa, you must demonstrate extraordinary ability by sustained national or international acclaim.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extraordinary ability in the fields of science, education, business or athletics means a level of expertise indicating that you are one of the small percentage who have risen to the very top of the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A consultation letter from a U.S. peer group, labor organization, and\/or management organization is generally required for O visa petitions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refer to the \u201cApplication Process for an O-1 visa\u201d tab on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/working-in-the-united-states\/temporary-workers\/o-1-visa-individuals-with-extraordinary-ability-or-achievement\">this page<\/a> which has a discussion about submitting consultation letters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<button class=\"accordion-header\">AMA Criteria for Requesting a Submission for Evaluation<\/button>\n\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\n\n<p>This is not an exhaustive list, and an individual doesn\u2019t need to meet all criteria.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publications in AMA journals or other well-known marketing journals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Publications in Marketing News or other well-known business periodicals (e.g. HBR, SMR, Fast Company, etc.) on the subject of marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quotations or references in either academic or business publications that recognize you as an authority in marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaker, presenter, or panelist at an AMA conference or other well-attended marketing conference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instructor for AMA training classes or other well-known marketing training provider.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A job title associated with full-time employment that is indicative of a successful career and a high level of achievement\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Examples of professional titles: CMO, EVP, SVP, or VP Marketing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examples of academic titles: Full Professor, Endowed Chair, Department Head, Dean, Provost<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipient of an award from AMA or other well-known organization (e.g. 4 under 40, Higher Ed Marketer of the Year, Parlin Award, Berry Book Award, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of a track record of significant accomplishments in the field of marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of a large number of followers on social media, and a track record of regularly posting marketing-relevant content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-standing membership in the AMA (5 years+)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be an active Academic or Professional member at the time of the request<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of AMA certifications (PCM\u00ae)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holding a high-level volunteer position within the AMA or similar organization (e.g. chapter president or executive board, SIG president, journal editor or associate editor, council member, board member)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The individual\u2019s request should include specifics associated with the evidence provided, e.g. dates and titles of publications, speaking engagements, awards received, certifications earned, or volunteer leadership positions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div> <!-- \/.accordion -->\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-request-form\"><strong>Request Form<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you meet the AMA criteria and would like to request a consultation letter, fill out the form below. <strong>You must be logged in as an AMA member to access the form.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive a response within 4-5 business days. If your application is approved, you will receive a payment link for the $249 processing fee.
